Your time and price
Enter the price, direct costs, delivery hours, and admin hours. Use 0 where appropriate; revisions can be left blank.
This is what remains per hour after direct project costs. It excludes recurring overhead and taxes and isn’t a take-home pay estimate.
Where does the time go?
- Delivery
- Sales and admin
- Revisions
What if it takes longer?
What does the result tell you?
It shows the amount left per project hour using the figures you entered. You still need to cover time between jobs, ordinary subscriptions, insurance, other business expenses, and taxes. You also need a customer willing to accept the price.
If you don’t know the hours yet, write down an estimate and compare it with the time a practice project takes. Try adding a revision round. Would you still want to do the job for that fee?
The pricing guide walks through the decisions behind a quote. Agreeing on the project scope helps you discuss extra work before you start it.
